Operation Specification for Shutdown of Twin Screw Pumps:
When abnormal equipment or process occurs or pump shutdown is required in production, the pump shutdown operation shall be carried out.
1. Press the stop button to disconnect the air switch in the distribution cabinet.
2. After the pump is stable, the disc coupling is 2-3 turns.
3. For long-term shutdown and standby pumps, disc pumps once a day and anti-corrosion maintenance once a month. Before winter, drain the water from the pump, prevent the water from the pipeline from seeping into the pump, and do a good job of anti-corrosion and anti-freezing of the equipment.

Twin-screw pump has two types: sealed type and unsealed type. According to whether the medium enters the meshing space from one end or from both ends, the twin-screw pump is divided into two types: double-suction type and single-suction type.
The unsealed screw pump does not fully meet the sealing conditions described in the preceding section. Its high and low pressure working chambers are not tightly separated, and its volume efficiency is lower than that of the sealed screw pump. Especially at high pressure, this difference is more significant, so from the economic point of view, unsealed screw pump is not suitable for high pressure range. However, the method of adopting special screw profile can effectively expand its application scope to pressure. The screw of the pump does not contact with the bushing, and the screw does not contact tightly with the screw, so it is suitable for conveying high viscosity medium.
