1.The screw units is rotating along with the external prime mover.
2.The spiral groove of the screw opens periodically,and the volume of suction cavity increases,resulting into a vacuum.
3.The medium is absorbed into the spiral groove and sealed in the spiral groove.
4.Along with the rotation of screw,the medium moves toward the outlet along the axial line of the screw.
5.The medium is pumped out.This is the operating principle of screw pump.

Although triple screw pump has many advantages, if it is not properly selected, it will not only not get satisfactory operation results, but also lead to noise and vibration of the pump, and even seriously damage the internal parts of the pump, so that the pump system can not work properly. Therefore, the selection personnel should consider carefully, choose a reasonable type, and consult the relevant technical personnel when necessary.
The selection of three-screw pump is mainly considered from the performance parameters.
The selection of pump speed is mainly based on the viscosity and specifications of the medium being conveyed to determine its range.
When transporting high viscosity medium, the pump should choose low speed, if the viscosity is low, the corresponding high speed can be selected: when the medium viscosity is higher than 20 E, for large size pump (the outer diameter of the main rod is more than 60 mm), the speed should be 970 rpm or 720 rpm, if the viscosity is higher (80 E) such as viscose, the speed can be reduced, 200-500 rpm is recommended; for small size pump, when the medium viscosity is more than 20 E. If the viscosity is higher (viscosity 80 E), the speed can be reduced. 300-600 rpm is recommended.
Because the higher the speed of the pump, the smaller the volume of the pump under the same performance parameters, but because of the high speed and friction power, the wear of the pump will be greater and the life of the pump will be shorter. If the lubrication of the conveying medium is poor or contains trace impurities, the lower speed should be chosen to maintain a longer life of the pump, which is recommended below 1450 rpm.
