The three-screw pump is mainly composed of an active screw (abbreviated as the main screw), two driven screw (abbreviated as the slave screw) and a pump sleeve containing three screw. The main screw thread is convex double-ended and the driven screw is concave double-ended. The spiral direction of the two screw is opposite. Low-pressure three-screw pump, the main rod is cantilever type, the remaining axial force is received by the thrust bearing heat installed on the main rod, and the end of the rod is natural lubrication type. Its axial force is supported by the thrust block at the end.
Medium and high pressure triple screw pumps are usually high pressure balanced. High pressure liquid passes through deep holes in the pump sleeve to the end of the main rod and the slave rod. In order to balance the axial force on the screw, a low-pressure balance type can also be used to connect the end face of the balance piston of the slave rod at one end of the discharge chamber with the low-pressure chamber, and the residual axial force of the slave rod should be directed to the discharge chamber.
Low pressure and large flow triple screw pumps are mostly double suction pumps. They have the advantages of simple structure, self-balancing in axial direction and balancing in operation.
